Laura Vandervoort
She first made an appearance an actor in 1997 at age 13. Following a series of classes, and working as a background actor for Canadian shows like Road to Avonlea and Harriet the Spy In 1997, she landed her first speaking role in the Canadian kids' horror anthology Goosebumps and Are you afraid of the Dark?, both series that aired in 1997 on YTV. Following commercials, she had the guest-starring role on Mutant X, Prom Queen: The Marc Hall Story, Goosebumps, Twice in a Lifetime, Doc, Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye, Troubled Waters, The Dresden Files, along with a handful of Disney Channel original movies (Mom's Afraid of A Date with a Vampire and Alley Cats Strike), at the age of 19, going to York University which she studied Psychology as well as English. got a leading role in Sadie Harrison in the CTV Teen drama Instant Star The show was on for four seasons. Two years later, Vandervoort starred in her first movie, The Lookout alongside Jeff Daniels, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Matthew Goode along with Isla Fisher. Vandervoort got a role in Smallville which is a series which airs on The CW. The role she plays is Clark Kent's Kryptonian "Kara Kent" as the character who would later be Supergirl. In season two, she was a regular for season seven and was in"Bloodline," season eight's "Bloodline" episode for season eight. 3] She returned for two episodes more in the 10th season, which was also the last of Smallville.
