Anna Silk was born at St. Thomas University in Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. She is the daughter of Peter Silk - an academic - and Ilkay Silk, a gifted actress, writer, director and producer. Her father comes from Britain, while her mother is a "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's first memories of attending rehearsals for play as well as watching her mother's work.
