Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and a businesswoman. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington, an independently-owned Liberal news site is a popular TV show host author, author and charity donor. She was born in Greece and moved to England in the year sixteen. At Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA in Economics. In the beginning, as the only non-English student, she was elected president of The Cambridge Union' at age 21. When she graduated, she made her mark as an independent syndicated columnist, and, with the advent of The Huffington Post' few years later, she developed an online voice platform that gave critical opinions regarding the current political situation. Her status as a celebrity helped in bringing on a host of well-known contributors to write their own opinions about news from the world of politics and culture. Arianna rose to fame in 2003 when she decided to be an independent in the California recall election to replace Governor Davis. Alongside this, she managed an Detroit campaign to increase the use of fuel efficient cars. Her rank was 12th on Forbes' list of most influential women in the media. In the same year, Guardian listed her among the top 100 media personalities. The year 2011 saw AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post and made her the head of that media group which included many then-existing AOL brands too, like Engadget AOL music Style list as well as Patch Media. Their parents are Elli as well as Konstantinos Stasinopoulos. They were a management advisor and journalist. Though she was close to her father it was her bond with her mother that formed her character. Her leadership skills were evident throughout her childhood. When she turned 16 she moved to the United Kingdom to pursue her study and then enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. In her time at college she joined the Cambridge Union debating group where she was elected the first female and only president from outside the country. She graduated in 1972 with a Master's Degree in Economics. Following after graduation she became an anchor on television and a columnist. In addition, she was a part of the series Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books taking editorial help from Bernard Levin.
